Lift and relay of existing paving to restore levels, improve drainage and create a clean, safe walkway.

This Cherrybrook project involved lifting and relaying an existing paved pathway to correct uneven levels, improve drainage and restore a clean, consistent finish.
Location: Bellevue Hill, Sydney
Services: Retaining Walls, Landscaping, Garden Design
Materials: Natural sandstone, planting mix, turf
Outcome: Structured multi-level garden with improved usability
The project began by carefully lifting the existing pavers to allow for full base preparation. The underlying ground was then re-levelled and compacted to establish consistent levels and proper drainage.
A new bedding layer was installed before the original pavers were relaid with precise alignment. Each section was adjusted to ensure a smooth, even finish across the entire pathway.

Tree roots and ground movement had caused sections of the pathway to sink over time. Correcting these issues required careful excavation and re-preparation of the base.
Maintaining the original look while improving levels meant the relaying process had to be precise to ensure a consistent and natural finish.
The pathway has been fully restored to a smooth, level surface that is safe and visually consistent. By reusing the existing pavers, the original character of the space has been maintained while significantly improving functionality.
Drainage has been corrected, trip hazards removed, and the entire area now blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
